Rick Brunner speaks to the confusion about the “Truth about the Body of Christ” on this episode of “Truth of the Spirit” hosted by Patti Brunner.  Baptized Christians are in the body of Christ.  Using the Catechism and scripture, Rick brings clarity to these points:  1) One Baptism, one Lord, for all; 2) The judgment will be for sin not denomination; 3) The duty of a Catholic, who has been given fullness of truth; 4) The duty of other Christians who have been given a portion of truth yet fullness of life through Baptism; 5) The difficulties that men who are different find in sharing truth when truth is not understood because of training; 6) One in the Spirit; 7) Teaching of the Church concerning salvation for separated brothers and sisters in Christ.  He then will share some of his personal history with separated brothers and sisters in Christ when lack of truth and with truth.

TOS061 Lenten Logos – The Cross

Join Patti Brunner and Truth of the Spirit to gain understanding of the Cross in this Lenten Logos series.  A primary tool used to cultivate us during Lent is meditation on the Cross and the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The Way of the Cross makes evident that the life of Christ had a purpose more than that of a rabbi or a King.  Jesus was those things, indeed, but his life had a much grander plan.  As you walk the walk in your daily life, Christ walks with you.  As you walk the walk of the Cross you are given the opportunity to walk with Him.  Each passage, each stumble, each encounter along the way, points to the love Jesus shows to his Father for those whom the Father loves.  We can take these moments and apply them to our own lives.  We can apply them to the very history of mankind. Truth of the Spirit with Patti Brunner.  With this episode we will wrap up the series on the Basics of Faith with the Basics of Salvation. Man was cast into darkness when sin entered the world.  Over time mankind got ‘used to the dark’.  Jesus became man to become the perfect sacrifice to redeem the prisoners and set them free.  Through the sacrificial death of Jesus, sin was forgiven and man is restored through the Light of Christ.  Salvation is a free gift purchased by the Blood of Jesus.  We cannot earn it—we can only accept it—or reject it.  From the first moment of the Resurrection nothing stood in the way of the outpouring of God’s love.

Truth of the Spirit episode TOS021 Helmet of Salvation with Rick Brunner is part 7 of the Armor of God series. The Helmet of Salvation is the final piece of armor presented in the series.  The Helmet of Salvation is a family heirloom passed down through the generations to recall the salvation given by Jesus through the cross, death and resurrection.  It is a gift given at Baptism for us to wear for the rest of our lives.  It helps us to think more clearly and recognize God.  The enemy tries to penetrate the helmet not by hitting us over the head but by getting under it with thoughts and memories of failure and temptations.  But the strength of the Helmet of Salvation is that it has been worn by all those who came before you.  Each saint, each holy man and woman have their memories to share.  The Helmet of Salvation was worn—indeed it was forged—by Christ himself.  He continues to wear it with you and thus your strength comes from this.  “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.”1 John 4:4.
