TOS230 Day 30 Daily Meditations for Lent with Patti Brunner-Thursday of Week 4

Day 30. Welcome to Truth of the Spirit.  I am your host, Patti Brunner.  This is day 30 of “Daily Meditations for Lent” on Thursday of week 4. We will share personal revelations given during Lent for you to discern and other contemplations to help you grow “in closeness to the Lord through truth, repentance, and the word of God moving into fullness within your heart.”

Has this been a difficult Lent for you?  Listen to what the Lord told me on several Thursdays of the 4th week of Lent.  He talked to me about overcoming temptation and the effect of sin.  The Lord said, “I choose to wash away all effect of sin from your life.  Tears are a sign of repentance and of cleansing the sense of vision.  I want your vision of my Kingdom to be clarified.  The evil one seeks always to hinder and confuse my prophets.  You must be strengthened by my Grace and Wisdom for the journey.  The attacks are real and intense, and I choose only the defeat of evil.  Be calm and certain in your knowledge of my Person.  The teachings of my Church serve to support that which you know in your heart.  Gather the support from this source so that you will stand firm under the umbrella of the Truth.  My mercy and love will fall on those about you as they hear My Truth come from within your own heart and speak to their own.

“Do you think there can be evil associated with a loving gesture?  Did not Judas betray with a kiss meant for peace?  The evil one longs to distress you.  He hounds you with this pain.  Turn it all over to the Father for healing.  Ask the Father to crush the evil of anger in the moment of love and protection.  Learn the need for constant compassion for sinners who do not realize the sin in their actions.  Have love for those who are offended when there has been no offense given.  People are greedy to take offense and give resentment and indignation.  Such is not righteous in My eyes.  Always seek to forgive and ask for understanding to deal with sinners.”

The Lord said, “Sweet child, I give you an opportunity I have given many others in the past.  Use what I have given you.  Use the vocation as the heart of the family to become the heart of all your family—the family of Christ.  Many times, people look at the saints like my Mother Theresa, as a special gift from God—totally unattainable to copy in their own life.  But when the ‘ordinary’ is full of God, they can see themselves also receiving the Gift of my Spirit.  Do not yearn for greatness in ‘producing’ great gestures.  But continue to yearn to share my love with others.  As the ripple becomes a wave on the sea—as a breeze becomes a gale—I will lead my people through you to the river of my Grace

The Lord said, “My child, each one’s journey is made easier when the path is trampled firm.  Stay to the path where I have led others.  Continue to forge and broaden the path for those yet to come.”

The Lord said, “My child, as the Lenten season comes upon you in fullness know that I suffered and died to give you life—life everlasting, abundant life—joy filled, love-filled life.

You do not; you cannot comprehend death without hope that caused the rescue of Noah.  My light “returned” to set free the captives from eternal death.  Even now, some court disaster, many court disaster with their sinful choices.  My gift of freewill, meant to choose good, has been used for vileness.  I spew from my mouth those who choose such evil and welcome it into their hearts.  I took them into my heart in the garden, to offer them life, to save and redeem them and they not only reject Me; they hate Me.

“The angels knew Me but they turned away, so, too, man has turned away from Me.

“Sink into my love, instill in the children my love.  Congratulate and encourage those who seek my face.  For the Lord God is a mighty God, rich in Mercy, everlasting in kindness, a just Judge.  Do not allow this message, this Word to cause a loss of hope.  I want you to see that the need is real.  It is a matter of life and death—not in this world but in eternity.”

The Lord said, “My child, “it’s not who you know but who you are.”  My “adopted” children enter the “royal” family with all the rights and privileges of high birth—and the responsibilities.  There is a usurper who tries to overthrow my “monarchy”; my Kingdom is invaded time and time again, but the defenders of faith, those who have taken the armor of God to defend their faith, are on the front line of the warfare that bombards the children and the weak.  Continue to march together into battle under the banner of love, and victory shall be yours.  It’s a “done deal”.  My child, the heavenly realms cry “Halleluiah to the King, forever He shall reign.”  There is no other that will ever reign in His place.

“It is the effect of sin and the freewill choices of men that allow the enemies attacks I have given you the tools to combat the forces of evil.  I have set you free; I offer the plunder and spoils won in battle:  Strength, knowledge.”

The Lord said, “When you place your needs aside to follow my plan, the grace shall fill the earth.     When you choose to serve rather than be served you imitate Jesus at the Last Supper as told by John.”

The Lord said, “My Child, the difference that a word makes in the life of another is evident to you today.  Remember this always.

“Be gone now dearest.  Take Me with you.  I Am with you always and to the ends of the earth –wherever you shall go.  Peace, Love, forgiveness, kindness – you shall know Me and know my Presence in these things.”
